Community Meetings

A community meeting was held on August 1, 2023 at the Manassas Church of the Brethren. Based on community feedback and public input, our team continues to evaluate and refine routing scenarios.

Prince William Energy Engagement Group

The Prince William Energy Engagement Group (PWEEG) comprises a small group of community members representing a diverse cross-section of public and private interests in Prince William County. The PWEEG is an iterative process that begins with broad-based information about electric transmission planning, infrastructure, and proposed projects in Prince William County. It then steps down to narrow and specific information about routing opportunities, constraints, and issues using participative activities. As participants in the engagement process, Prince William Energy Engagement Group (PWEEG) members are not endorsing routes or serving as advocates for transmission routing. Participants advocate for the engagement process and share their local knowledge to help inform routing alternatives.

The members of the PWEEG provide community perspectives and input regarding opportunities, constraints, local/regional issues, and concerns within a study area. This will aid Dominion Energy in developing feasible and defensible route options to bring to the broader public for input and feedback as well as the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC), as applicable.

Meeting minutes from previous PWEEG meetings are attached below.
