At Dominion Energy, we are dedicated to providing safe and reliable electric service. As we remain focused on maintaining a resilient electric system, we have identified 17 transmission structures that have been damaged due to some of the extreme weather events the Edisto Beach area has seen over the past few years and have initiated a project to replace these structures. These aging structures are on the Adams Run – Red House Road 46 kV line which is built next to Highway 174.

The project begins at Dr. Taylor Rd and travels southeast. The line parallels SC174 going towards Edisto and ends at Red House Rd. Dominion Energy’s work will be concentrated in seven different locations along Highway 174.
There are no planned service interruptions for this project
There may be traffic control set up at road crossings occasionally ensuring the work is completed safely and effectively.
