A Line Rebuild Project in Charleston Couny, SC
The project will connect the Cainhoy and Hamlin substations in Charleston County. The line stretches south from the Cainhoy substation near Clements Ferry Road, crossing the Wando River near Shipyard Park. The line then runs southeast through the Dunes West neighborhood before crossing U.S. Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant and terminating at the Hamlin substation off Porchers Bluff Road. ton Parkway and Buckwalter Parkway, terminating at the existing Bluffton substation on Burnt Church Road.
While most of the line is away from heavily traversed areas, there may be occasional traffic control set up at roads crossings as Dominion Energy and its contractors ensure the work is completed safely and effectively.
To ensure a safe and efficient work zone, traffic control may be required at road crossings.
