What to Expect

Let the representative know that the account holder has passed away and that you would like to transfer the account into your name.

Information About the Deceased

To assist with the account update, be prepared to provide the following details about your loved one:

  • Full name
  • Service address
  • Date of death
  • Account number or Social Security Number

Information About You (the Requester)

To verify your identity and process the request, the representative will ask for the following information:

  • Full name
  • Relationship to the deceased
  • Email address
  • Mailing address
  • Social Security Number (used for identity verification through Equifax)
  • Phone Number
