Resources for Electric Customers

Real-Time Pricing Option & Portal

Dominion Energy’s Real-Time Pricing (RTP) option assists energy users in reducing energy costs while allowing energy providers to improve system efficiency.

Utilities estimate the cost of generating and transmitting electricity to the customer, develop hourly rates that vary with forecasted system usage, and communicate these prices to the customer who can now manage energy consumption in response to changes in price.

Customers who can alter operations to shift electric consumption from on-peak to off-peak periods may consider RTP as an option.

Those who enroll in the RTP Program can view daily prices through the link below. Next-day prices are posted on weekdays at 4:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
