If you're having trouble paying your bill, we can help.
Set Up a Payment Plan
A long-term payment plan (also called a deferred payment plan) lets you:
- Pay your current bill.
- Split your past due balance into equal monthly payments (up to 6 months).
- Each month, you‘ll pay one of those payments plus your current bill.
Important to know:
- A 1.5% late payment charge will be applied to the remaining past due balance on each bill until the payment plan is complete.
- Paying extra goes toward your next payment.
- Missing a scheduled payment may cancel your payment plan.
- Plans are available for both residential and small business customers.

Heating Programs
State Fuel Assistance helps pay electric bills used to heat your home.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be responsible for your heating expense.
- Meet income requirements.

- October (2nd Tuesday) – November (2nd Friday)
How much?
- The amount depends on your household. Benefits are decided and added to your account in late December.
State Crisis Assistance helps during heating emergencies.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
- Have a heating emergency, such as:
- Have no heat.
- Received a shut-off notice.
- Have unsafe heating equipment.

To be eligible, you must:
- Be facing a crisis.

When can I apply?
- October 1 – May 31
How much?
- $600 maximum
Cooling Programs
State Cooling Assistance helps pay energy bills during hot summer months.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be responsible for your cooling expense.
- Be living with a child 5 or younger, a senior age 60 or older, or someone who is certified as disabled.
- Meet income requirements.
