Committed to helping the community, our EnergyShare program helps families in financial crisis make their homes more energy efficient. Upgrades funded by EnergyShare provide permanent energy bill savings through energy conservation.

For more information about how EnergyShare strengthens the community, check out the EnergyShare brochure.

Dominion Energy provides an annual report on the program each year. Read the latest report.

How Does it Work?

EnergyShare provides assistance to customers in two different ways:

1. Bill Payment Assistance

EnergyShare is a crisis program of last resort that helps pay energy bills for any type of heating and cooling source (wood, oil, natural gas, propane, kerosene, electric) for those who qualify. Individuals and families who are struggling financially may apply for assistance once per season. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine eligibility. Individuals 60 and older are eligible for additional assistance. Military veterans and those individuals living with disabilities may qualify for an additional $500 benefit if participating in the voucher programs of the Department of Veteran Services or the Centers for Independent Living.
