Payment Plans

A payment plan lets you pay your current bill while spreading your past due balance into equal monthly payments.

  • This plan breaks your past due balance into equal payments over up to six months. Each month, you’ll pay one of those payments plus your current bill.

What is PIPP?

The Percentage of Income Payment Program (PIPP) helps income challenged Dominion Energy customers manage their electric bills year-round by providing consistent monthly bills.

Your monthly bill amount, or “PIPP Amount,” is based on a percentage of your household income and primary heat source.

  • Electric Heat = 10% of income
  • Other Heat Source = 6% of income

For example, if your monthly income is $1,000 and your primary heat source is electric, your monthly PIPP payment would be capped at $100 (10% of your income).

To determine if PIPP is a good fit for you, review your bill history and determine if your monthly bill amount would be more or less than the amount you would be required to pay, based on your income.
