Improving Reliability and Innovation
Modernization of the electric grid means fewer outages, faster restoration times, and new tools to allow customers to track and control their energy usage. It also makes it easier and faster for customers to connect to rooftop solar resources. This means improved standards for physical protection of critical infrastructure and cybersecurity to improve network security throughout the grid.
Investing in a Cleaner Energy Future
Dominion Energy has the sixth largest solar fleet in the nation. By focusing on clean energy–- solar, wind, natural gas, and nuclear – we are working to lower emissions while protecting our customers’ needs.
As we continue to focus on clean energy, we estimate that over one million customers’ electric needs could be powered with solar energy in the next 15 years. We are also working to improve both the access to and production of natural gas. Natural gas burns cleaner, lowering emissions and improving air quality.
