EnergyShare^®

EnergyShare® is our year-round energy assistance program and is available to anyone who faces financial hardship, regardless of income. Applications are open October 1 through May 31 and are submitted to local nonprofits who help run the EnergyShare® program. If you are in need, you can apply for up to $600 in assistance.

• Must be a senior, a person with a disability and/or income-eligible Dominion Energy customer,
• Must demonstrate a crisis,
• Must be responsible bill payer,
• Must be a resident

Bill Payment Assistance

EnergyShare® is a year-round, financial crisis program of last resort that helps pay energy bills for any type of cooling and heating source. EnergyShare® is not income based so any customer in crisis is eligible to apply.

Customer applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine eligibility. If approved, the benefit is paid directly to the customer's energy provider.

Individuals 60 and older may be eligible for additional assistance. Military veterans and those individuals living with disabilities may qualify for an additional $500 benefit if participating in the voucher programs of the Department of Veteran Services or the Centers for Independent Living.

It offers incentives covering up to 90% of the cost – up to $6,000 – for energy-efficient lighting and HVAC upgrades.
