How to Pay Your Bill Online

  1. Register or sign in to your account.
  2. Click "Pay My Bill."

You’ll need your routing and account number or your credit/debit card information to make the initial payment.

Payments

  • Payments made before 2:45 p.m. MST on a business day will post to your account on the next business day.
  • Payments made after 2:45 p.m. MST (or on weekends or holidays) will post to your account the following business day.
  • Immediate payments cannot be changed/cancelled once submitted.

Auto Pay

Both residential and business customers can make payments via an automatic bank draft for free!

How It Works

  • Payments are automatically deducted from the account you choose. (Dominion Energy will automatically debit your checking/savings account on or up to 4 days after the due date.)
  • There are no fees.

How to Enroll With Auto Pay

How do I know when I'm enrolled?

Your bill will indicate the date your first bank draft payment will be deducted. Until then, pay your bill through your normal method.

Can I change my method of payment once enrolled?

  • Change the bank account used for payment up to the day before your scheduled draft day.
  • Suspend your current pending draft and pay via another method, if you need to.

What happens if I move or close my account?

  • Transfer bank drafting to your new account if you move within our service area.
  • If you close your account your final bill will be drafted and no more drafts will occur.

Unauthorized Third-Party Payment Vendors

If you choose to use an unauthorized online payment vendor, please keep the following in mind:

  • Dominion Energy is not responsible for the unauthorized online payment vendor’s timeliness or accuracy in delivering and recording the payment on your behalf.
  • It may take up to five business days (or more) for the payment to post to your account.
  • The convenience fees may be higher than our authorized online payment vendor.

How do I avoid service disconnection or reconnect my service?

Give us a call at 800-323-5517 (7 a.m. - 6 p.m., M-F) or email us at customercare@dominionenergy.com to confirm the payment receipt number to avoid a service disconnection or to reconnect service.

Important Note: Paper checks are converted to an electronic transaction at the point the payment is processed.

When you send us a check through US Mail, you authorize Dominion Energy to convert your paper check into an electronic debit, which instructs your financial institution to transfer funds in the amount of your payment from your account to us.
