To serve a proposed data center customer located near the corner of Blackwell Road and Lee Highway in the Town of Warrenton
Economic growth in Fauquier County has resulted in increased electrical demand. To support this demand, there is a need for new electrical infrastructure. We are pleased to propose an updated solution to serve a potential data center coming to the Town of Warrenton, and to maintain reliable and secure service to the area. This updated solution includes a substation, off-site from the data center property. It will serve the data center with in-road, underground distribution lines. We are evaluating two potential sites for the substation. Both are close to the existing transmission line south of the Town of Warrenton. In the coming days or weeks, you may see Dominion Energy personnel performing survey work in the Blackwell Road Project area. Please note that this is a normal part of our due diligence process, and does not indicate finalized route plans or that construction is beginning.
