Veterans & Military
We have a long history of supporting our military and veterans
Throughout our lengthy history of service to our communities, Dominion Energy has made support for the military, veterans and their families a priority. Beginning in World War I, when our employees sent soldiers care packages, and continuing until today, we have focused on those who serve our country. G.I. Jobs ranked Dominion Energy #8 in its 2020 list of the top military-friendly companies nationwide.
"From an ethical standpoint, serving those who sacrificed so much to serve us is the right thing to do."
- Thomas F. Farrell, II, Dominion Energy Chairman, President and CEO
Strengthening Our Communities
Our objective: to strengthen our network within the communities we serve and to support military service men and women, while developing our talent pipeline.
We Care about the Military, Veterans, and their Families
We’ve spearheaded initiatives to support veterans and their families, including: installing access ramps, supporting wounded warriors, and weatherizing homes.
This PGA TOUR Champions playoff event has generated more than $3.5 million for charity since inception in 2016, with tournament proceeds going to veteran’s charities. The Charity Classic has become the largest single fundraising event in the Richmond region.
Between 2015 and 2019, we’ve provided bill assistance to over 5,200 veterans.
Our mission-critical service to help federal agencies meet energy-related goals has resulted in an Award for Excellence and recognition by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for outstanding performance.
