SCC

The State Corporation Commission (SCC) is responsible for verifying the need, route, and environmental impact of transmission lines in Virginia. Documents related to the case are made available to the public on the SCC Docket Search section of the SCC website, in the "Search Cases" section (enter case number PUR-2019-00040). In addition, interested parties may also comment directly to the SCC by sending an email to sccinfo@scc.virginia.gov.

  • April 14, 2022 – Order Granting Motion for Extension of Construction and In-Service Date
  • March 7, 2022 – Company filed motion for Extension of Construction and In-service date
  • Sept. 27, 2019 -The SCC issued its final order approving the Glebe Rebuild project.
  • Aug. 13, 2019 - The SCC Hearing Examiner's Report was issued in response to the proposed project.
  • July 23, 2019 - A public evidentiary hearing will be held at 10:00 am in the SCC’s second floor courtroom located at 1300 East Main St., Richmond, VA 23219
  • By July 16, 2019 - Any interested person may file written or electronic comments on the application (referencing Case No. PUR-2019-00040).
  • On or before July 9, 2019 - Dominion Energy may file any rebuttal
  • On or before June 25, 2019 - The SCC staff must file a report and exhibits on its investigation of Dominion Energy’s application.
  • By April 23, 2019 -Dominion Energy must publish a legal notice of the application
  • March 25, 2019 - The SCC issued an Order of Notice and Hearing.
  • March 7, 2019 - Dominion Energy filed an application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity with the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) to rebuild its Glebe Substation and underground North Potomac Yards.
