Funding for basic needs in the communities we serve
Eligible 501c3 nonprofit organizations across the company's footprint may apply for grants of up to $25,000 each to meet critical needs in communities. For the sixth consecutive year, the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has pledged $1 million to help meet urgent human needs such as housing and shelter, access to medicine and medical services, and food security.
*Applications must be submitted before May 31 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Grant recipients will be announced in late summer.
Eligibility and Guidelines
We consider requests from eligible nonprofits with a proven record of meeting basic human needs, while managing future need by providing programs with significant and measurable outcomes. The projects should support one or more of the following:
Last year, the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awarded $1.6 million in grants to critical community needs. These grants have gone to 224 nonprofit organizations that are working to support the most basic needs of the communities we serve, including food, shelter and medical care.
