Nine Mile Road Landfill Solar
Overview
The Nine Mile Road Landfill Solar project reflects our commitment to delivering the reliable, affordable, increasingly clean energy that powers our customers every day.
- The solar facility will produce about 2 megawatts (MW) of carbon-free energy - enough to power around 500 homes in the Richmond area at peak times.
- It will be built on a former landfill, helping us meet our goal of using previously developed land for energy projects.
- All electrical equipment will be installed above ground to protect the materials buried beneath the site.
