More than 700 people gathered to dance and sing along as three-time Grammy Award-nominated recording artist Taylor Dayne performed her biggest hits during the Rock 4 Recovery concert in South Carolina.

Dayne headlined the annual concert, presented by Dominion Energy, in Lexington on Sept. 29. The event, organized by the Lexington-Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council (LRADAC) Foundation, raises awareness about the power of recovery from substance misuse and helps provide recovery programs and services to community members and their families.

Dominion Energy South Carolina President Keller Kissam took to the stage to Taylor Dayne after thanking LRADAC’s staff for the work they do every day to support individuals in their recovery journey.

“In Lexington and Richland counties last year, they helped 5,000 people. They’ve helped so many in the community that we see each day in the grocery store, in our schools, at work or even at home. It shows you the exponential impact that LRADAC has on all of our lives.”

“I just want to say thank you to the staff of LRADAC,” Kissam said. “In Lexington and Richland counties last year, they helped 5,000 people. They’ve helped so many in the community that we see each day in the grocery store, in our schools, at work or even at home. It shows you the exponential impact that LRADAC has on all of our lives.”

Dominion Energy’s support helps bring artists like Dayne to the annual concert, raising funds to help those who may otherwise have no way to pay for treatment.

“With such a high-profile act like Taylor, Rock 4 Recovery has grown into one of the Midlands’ most anticipated concerts—and one of the only events around that offer a substance-free and safe environment for live music lovers of all ages,” said Leslie Maley, LRADAC Foundation chair. “Because of the continued success of past concerts and other fundraising events, the LRADAC Foundation helps families and individuals enter recovery who could not do so on their own because of a lack of insurance or inability to pay. Each year, approximately 1,000 families receive the treatment they need in part because of the money raised at our concert.”

Dominion Energy has proudly served as presenting sponsor of Rock 4 Recovery since 2021.
