Employees like Brandon Aycock are working to leverage technology to ensure the environmental sustainability of natural gas.
When Brandon Aycock began his career in 2005, he didn’t know a lot about natural gas. But he had a hunch that the industry was on the cusp of a transformation. He was right.
Brandon is the manager of the engineering projects team in central and western North Carolina. Lately, he’s also been spearheading the company’s efforts in North Carolina to ensure the environmental sustainability of natural gas through technology.
Technological innovation plays a key role in Dominion Energy’s strategy. One example is the use of Zero Emissions Vacuum and Compression (ZEVAC®) technology that keeps methane gas in our system and out of the atmosphere during maintenance and inspection activity. Previously, methane gas was vented into the atmosphere during this type of work.
“New programs such as ZEVAC® breathe life into energy industries that historically have been stuck in the past,” said Brandon. ZEVAC® is just one of the many transformational tools that will allow us build a better future.”
