We are delighted to congratulate Julie Manzari on her outstanding achievements and dedication to both her professional and community endeavors. As a member of our New Business and Customer Solutions team, Julie leads initiatives in sustainable solutions like on-site solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging equipment. Her work is driving innovation and making a significant impact on the environment and the communities we serve, including her own community, Louisa County, VA.

Julie’s journey into the energy industry was inspired by a desire to be closer to family and a passion for the energy transition, especially her love of electric vehicles. Her leadership and innovative spirit have led to significant milestones, including the successful implementation of a program to charge and discharge electric school bus batteries onto the grid, enhancing both transportation and energy efficiency.

Julie's work with the Charge Up Louisa Initiative helped secure a $1.4 million grant aimed at improving EV charging infrastructure in rural areas.

Julie Manzari and her husband

Well-grounded in her rural community, Julie and her husband run a horse and beef cattle farm in Bumpass, VA, where she encourages her husband to use electric tractors and other equipment, further showcasing her commitment to sustainable practices. She also actively volunteers with the Louisa Forward Foundation to drive economic and community development, tying her efforts at work back to Louisa County.

Her work securing grant funding and leading Louisa Main Street initiatives are vital to the community’s growth and development. Her contributions extend to the Charge Up Louisa initiative, bringing public EV charging to Central Virginia, and securing a $1.4 million grant for Project SYNC, aimed at improving EV charging infrastructure in rural areas. As a result, Julie was recently nominated for Businessperson of the Year by the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce for her exceptional performance and leadership.

Congratulations, Julie, on your remarkable contributions and for being a shining example of leadership and community spirit! Your dedication and hard work are truly deserving of recognition.
