A new year message from our president Keller Kissam

Dear Valued Customer,

Dominion Energy is proud to be your energy provider as we close out 2024 and look with eager anticipation to continuing our relationship in 2025. Regardless of the year or season, we remain committed to providing you with safe, reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy. You should expect no less from us, and our commitment is to faithfully serve you and promote the growth and energy needs of South Carolina – a place it seems where everyone wants to be.

As we reflect on the year that has been, our most significant challenge in 2024, was the most deadly storm in our state's history, Hurricane Helene. This Category 4 monster made landfall only 250 miles from Columbia, SC and then released all of its energy in the form of destructive winds and torrential rains over 2,500 miles. The devastation to our communities was overwhelming, but so was our collective response. With an army of over 5,000, many your neighbors, two weeks of non-stop effort brought us from the darkness. Your patience, compassion, and empathy for our team was the light that truly brought the light and allowed for the restoration of over half of the total customers we serve. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of our neighbors who lost loved ones and may we honor their memories by always rising above the storms of life with a collective human spirit.

In that not all storms are weather related, Dominion Energy South Carolina partners with over 200 organizations and community action agencies throughout the state to pool resources with Energy Share and the Good Neighbor Fund to assist our customers in need. The completion of our Advanced Metering Infrastructure will allow you to have greater knowledge of the timing of your energy usage so that, along with budget billing and demand side energy management tools we offer, you can make wise choices regarding energy management in your own home. Another tool is our Dominion Energy App. Usage of this tool is at an all time high, and it is the most secure means of receiving information and communicating with our company as a valued customer. Finally, Dominion Energy South Carolina continues to support philanthropic efforts in our communities we serve by investing approximately two million dollars to promote community needs, education, health, and the environment.

I do not know what 2025 will bring. However, I do know that we will continually invest in our infrastructure, maintain our grid, properly perform vegetation management, and continue to hire and train a service-minded workforce that lives the obligation to serve you 24 hours a day. 2024 will be remembered for Hurricane Helene and to us it was a vivid reminder of the importance of energy in each of your lives. As your neighbors, we are blessed to know you; feel a strong sense of purpose in serving you; and will never grow faint in doing so for all the years to come.

Sincerely,

Keller Kissam

W. Keller Kissam
