Community Vitality Grants
Funding to Foster Community Vitality
The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations to support programs that create opportunities for underserved communities, foster economic and community development, and provide access to arts and cultural activities.
Some of Our Recipients Include:
- Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond, Inc. (VA) to support community engagement and awareness through events including the Dancing with the Local Stars Gala and the Step Up for Down Syndrome 5K and Family Festival.
- East Lyme Parks and Recreation (CT) to host community events including the Niantic Light Parade and a summer concert series, enhancing public access to arts and cultural experiences.
- Elegba Folklore Society (VA) to host four annual festivals, including Juneteenth, A Freedom Celebration; Down Home Family Reunion, A Celebration of African American Folklife; Capital City Kwanzaa Festival; and the Black Book Expo, A Conscious Literary Festival.
- Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum (SC) to support the design and creation of educational KidsArt Programs designed to complement the exhibition for The Lasting Impression Art Exhibition | An Exhibition of Impressionist Art
- Outer Banks Forum for the Lively Arts (NC) brings an annual series of high quality and diverse performing arts concerts to the residents of the Outer Banks and provides opportunities for youth to participate in the arts.
- Pocahontas Reframed Film Festival (VA) to support the annual festival which aims to raise awareness about Native American language, cultures, and societies through films that share Native American perspectives.
- Visual Arts Center of Richmond (VA) to support the VisArts Veterans Program, offering art workshops to veterans recovering from or adjusting to serious medical conditions and adjusting back to civilian life.
