Demand for natural gas continues to grow in the Triangle and surrounding areas. To meet customer growth, Dominion Energy North Carolina (DENC) will install a 45-mile natural gas pipeline from Eden to Roxboro. While the majority of construction would take place in 2026, DENC may begin construction of an 8-mile section in 2025. This system reliability project will ensure DENC can meet demand while ensuring the safety and integrity of its pipeline system in compliance with regulations. DENC anticipates having the new pipeline in service by the end of 2027.
