Income-eligible customers can inquire about financial assistance for their heating bills via local assistance agencies.
Dominion Energy North Carolina sponsors the Salvation Army's Heat Care Fund, a financial assistance program that helps individuals pay their heating bills, regardless of the type of fuel they use. All of the money contributed to the Heat Care Fund is distributed by local Salvation Army agencies to help needy residents in our service territory.

This program notifies a family member, friend or neighbor, if a customer's bill is not paid. Third-party notification is beneficial for elderly customers or first-time bill-paying customers wanting to keep a family member aware of their accounts.
