St. Catherine's School

Richmond, Virginia
An all-girls school since 1890, St. Catherine's, the largest participant in our Solar Purchase program, is committed to environmental sustainability initiatives that cut costs of operations without impacting the teaching and learning environment. The first solar array was installed December 2012, with additional arrays added in recent years.

Green Power Districts

A Green Power District designation recognizes communities who have committed to a sustainable future through the purchase of renewable energy through the Dominion Energy Green Power program.

These communities include a mix of residential and commercial participants whose combined contributions to green energy make a measurable difference. Just imagine, if the support of one participant is equivalent to taking one car off the road for a year, by how much would our collective greenhouse gas emissions be reduced when 5, 10, 30 neighbors and businesses are participating?
