How can we help you?
West Creek
At Dominion Energy, we are committed to providing the reliable, affordable and increasingly clean energy that powers your every day. New electric infrastructure is needed to ease the load on the local distribution network serving Goochland and Henrico counties and to support recently announced development projects.
As such, the proposed West Creek 230 Kilovolt (kV) Electric Transmission Project will meet the continued needs of your region and maintain reliable electric service.
This project proposes the following key components:
- A new substation to reinforce the electric distribution network.
- A new, double-circuit 230 kV transmission line and right of way corridor to connect the new substation to the existing electric transmission grid.

The Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) has regulatory authority over all energy providers in Virginia. In reviewing a proposed project, the SCC must consider whether potential impacts on scenic assets, historic districts and the environment have been reasonably minimized.
