About

Effective January 1, 2019, Hope Gas, Inc., dba Dominion Energy West Virginia will end its pilot Customer Service Piping Program (CSPP), as ordered by the Public Service Commission of West Virginia in Case No. 18-0780-G-390P. With the end of the pilot program, the Company will no longer assume responsibility for the installation, repair, or replacement of the segment of natural gas piping (your “Natural Gas Service Line”) extending from a point at the property line, right of way or easement line to the inlet of your meter. The responsibility to install, replace or repair their Natural Gas Service Line when necessary reverts back to customers.

If you're concerned about the potential cost of an exterior gas line repair/replacement you may wish to consider signing up with a third party provider who offers gas line protection programs.

If you have any questions regarding your responsibility for the repair or replacement of your natural gas service line, please contact us at 800-688-4673.
