Initial Environmental Justice Considerations

• The county has a slightly higher minority population than the state (40.5% compared to 38.5%).
• All across the state, in Halifax County, and in the block group assessed that include the current land control, the predominant minority group is Black/African American.
• Once a final project footprint is determined, a full EJ analysis will be performed and once an EJ community is identified, targeted outreach will take place.
