Overview & Project Description

The reliable operation, maintenance, expansion and modernization of the company’s electric transmission system are among our highest priorities. As such, the company continually evaluates and analyzes its existing transmission system and identifies facilities in need of improvement or expansion. As part of the announced placement of the Bremo Power Station’s Units 2 and 3 into cold storage, in order to maintain adherence to federally mandate reliability standards, a new substation and related reconfiguration of existing transmission lines are needed in Fluvanna County.
