The overhead line was constructed primarily on wood H-frame, and wood three poles in 1957 and had reached the end of its service life. The line needed to be rebuilt in 2022 to meet current electricity reliability standards and maintain reliable service to the area.
New structures look similar to the original wooden structures, with a mix of new H-frame and engineered structures made of brown, weathering steel. Several structures on this electric transmission line that were replaced in the past decade were not replaced again unless necessary to comply with current electric reliability standards. This rebuild project was completed on time in December 2022. Restoration activities continue in spring 2023, including wooden mat removal, fence restoration, and vegetation management and reseeding.
