The Community Impact Awards competition, co-sponsored by Cleveland Magazine, has awarded more than $2 million since 1996 to organizations in our service area.

Our 28th anniversary recipients have been announced and will be featured in a 2023 issue of Cleveland Magazine.

Eligibility & Guidelines

  • Projects must have been completed in 2023.
  • Projects must have made a major contribution to the economic or social revitalization in our communities.
  • Projects must have made a major contribution to support diversity, inclusion, and equity in our communities.
  • Projects must describe how the COVID–19 pandemic has changed the ability to make impact in the community.
  • Organizations must be 501c(3).

Refer to the award guidelines and entry information to prepare your nomination at: DominionEnergy.com, search impact. The application period closes Friday, December 29, 2023 at 5:00 pm.

Each entry must include the following information:

To be eligible to receive a Dominion Energy Community Impact Award, organizations MUST provide:

  1. Name of your organization, a contact name and title, telephone number, email address and complete mailing address.
  2. A brief description/history of your community or organization.
  3. Description of the project and qualitative and quantitative results demonstrating how it promoted economic and/or social revitalization, including objectives, benefits, impact, and community interest/involvement.
  4. Details regarding the extent to which the project generated positive change and growth within its targeted area.
  5. The number of people impacted/served by this project.
  6. Details of how this project encourages and promotes future development and revitalization.
  7. Information about the project’s impact on the community, i.e., the effect the project had in terms of jobs, spending, taxes, etc.
  8. How this initiative has supported diversity, inclusion, and equity in your community.

Community Impact Awards Timeline

  • October 1st - Begin Accepting Applications
  • December 29th - Entry Deadline
  • February/March - Judging
  • March/April - All applicants to be notified about the status of their entry by email
  • July - Awards Program

The Village of Healing Center opened as the first and only OB/Gyn clinic developed by Black women, for Black women, staffed by a 100% Black care team. The center provides culturally-sensitive OB/Gyn care to address health care inequities.

Food Access for Allen County Children

Lima, Ohio
Children's Hunger Alliance's (CHA) ensures that children without access receive healthy food, nutrition education, and physical activity. Efforts to provide meals to children in Allen County address long-term solutions to fight childhood hunger.
