2023 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award Winner Banner

Dominion Energy Ohio’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Program helps to boost your home’s comfort and long-term value, while keeping your energy bills in check. Your entire home will be evaluated as one interconnected system to understand exactly how it’s using – and possibly wasting – energy.

Enjoy a more comfortable and energy-efficient home as well as up to $1,250 in rebates.

Step 1: Home Energy Audit

Schedule your home energy audit by signing up online or calling 877-287-3416.

We'll send a certified auditor to conduct a thorough audit of your home's energy efficiency. The $50 audit fee includes free installation of several energy-efficient products such as:

  • High-efficiency shower heads
  • Kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators
  • Carbon monoxide detector
  • Water heater pipe wrap

You can also have a NEST smart thermostat installed at the same time, for an additional $50 fee – please make the request when scheduling your audit.

Before leaving your home, our auditor will provide you with a list of participating contractors and guide you through which potential upgrades can be done by the homeowner and which must be installed by a contractor in order to qualify for a rebate.

Step 2: Review Your Results

Following the assessment, you’ll receive a customized report with recommendations on how to save energy and improve your home’s comfort. Recommendations may include:

  • Adding insulation
  • Air sealing (to eliminate drafts)
  • Upgrading heating equipment
  • Replacing windows and doors

Step 3: Make Improvements

Decide which projects to implement based on the report recommendations. Once the work is completed, submit the required rebate paperwork within the specified timeframe to claim your rebate.
