General Questions

Will I be able to check my bills and payments on this app?

Not at this time. You can access our Manage Account site for information on billing, payments, usage and more. You must be registered for Manage Account before accessing that information.

 

Am I able to report other power issues besides power outages and partial outages on the app?

No. You should call 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357) to report other power issues and for all wire down reports.

 

Can I report a downed wire on the app?

No. Downed wires are dangerous and require special attention. For your safety, stay at least 30 feet away and call 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357) to speak directly with a specialist.

 

I own several properties. How can I check outages on all of my accounts?

Dominion Energy customers with more than five (5) accounts will need to speak with a specialist at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357).

 

I canceled my outage report, but I still see the status. Why is that?

Your request must be reviewed before the work request can be cancelled.

 

In the Nearby Places section, what’s the difference between “Likely” and “Call First”?

If a business in Nearby Places is labeled as “Likely,” we have established they are an existing Dominion Energy customer and, based on reported outages in the area, the business may not be affected by a power outage. If a business is labeled as “Call First,” the business may not have power based on reported outages. For those locations, we encourage customers to call the business first to verify.

Technical Questions

How long can I stay logged in?

You will remain logged in unless you log out manually. If you uncheck “Keep me logged in,” you will be logged out after one (1) hour.

 

Why should I enable Location Services?

When Location Services are on, the app can zoom to your current location and list businesses that may have power close to you.

 

I am having trouble logging in.

Please contact us at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357) to make sure your account information is up to date.

 

If I clear my phone or tablet's history, does that delete "My Saved Places" or remove my credentials even if I check "Keep me logged in"?

No. Clearing your phone or tablet’s history or cache will not erase your saved locations or credentials.

 

How can I view outage statuses for multiple addresses?

You can check the status for all accounts tied to a specific phone number (up to five). Or, if you are using an account number, you will need to log in and check each one separately.

 

If I log out of one address to check another, will I still get notifications for the first address?

No. You will only get push notifications when you are logged in to an account. If you log out and switch to a new account, the push notifications will be for the new account.

 

Do I have to be logged in to the app in order to use Nearby Places?

No. You can access Nearby Places without being logged in. Enable Location Services to enjoy the full functionality of this feature.
