How can we help you?
Ladysmith–Elmont
Descripción General
It has become necessary to address an aging electric transmission line, which has been in operation for more than five decades, between our Ladysmith and Elmont substations located along an existing corridor in Caroline and Hanover counties.
The 500 kilovolt (kV) line is approximately 26.2-miles in length and current proposed design requires no new right of way to rebuild to current electrical safety and electrical requirements.
Benefits
- Maintains current right of way
- New structures located in the same general location as existing structures
- Complies with mandatory standards to ensure safety, reliability and to meet future needs
- Replaces aging infrastructure
