Peaking Power Supply Generation Request for Proposal
Dominion Energy Virginia is seeking bids for up to 1,500 MW of summer Unit Firm Capacity, with a preference for approximately 500 MW to come on-line each year from 2022 through 2024. Proposals must offer a minimum of 50 MW of summer Unit Firm Capacity.
The Company will show preference for Proposals for facilities located in, and delivering power to, the Company’s bulk power transmission system in the PJM Dominion Transmission Zone (“Dom Zone”). The Company will also consider Proposals for facilities in PJM Transmission Zones adjacent to the Dom Zone. The Company will not consider any Proposals for facilities that are not directly interconnected to the PJM transmission system.
All Proposals must utilize an existing, proven technology, with demonstrated reliable generation performance. Facilities must be new and be fully dispatchable by the Company. Notices of Intent to Bid and Confidentiality Agreements are due November 18, 2019 with final proposals due December 19, 2019.
