Dominion Energy North Carolina Donates to the Heat Care Fund

Dominion Energy North Carolina Donates $150,000

The heating season will be warmer for those needing assistance paying their energy bills this winter after DENC made a $150,000 donation to the Heat Care Fund, which is sponsored by the company and administered by The Salvation Army.

Many North Carolinians will struggle to stay warm this winter and through the Heat Care Fund, those in need will feel the comfort and warmth of knowing that others care," said Shaun Randall vice president of operations for DENC. The Heat Care Fund is one of our longest standing programs, with the Salvation Army being a great managing partner."

This is the 37th year Dominion Energy partners with the Salvation Army through the Heat Care Fund to support senior citizens and other low-income individuals and families across the company's North Carolina service area to offer financial assistance with their heating bills, regardless of the type of fuel used. The company makes an annual contribution and matches employee and customer donations up to $20,000. All funds are administered by The Salvation Army and go directly to those in need.

Since the beginning of the company's support of the Heat Care Fund, The Salvation Army has received and disbursed over $4 million because of company, employee and customer donations. Those needing assistance in Dominion Energy gas territory in North Carolina, should contact their local Salvation Army office.
