February 2018 Update

Construction is complete, commissioning is continuing and production of liquefied natural gas during commissioning has begun.

All major equipment has been operated and is being commissioned as expected following a comprehensive round of testing and quality assurance activities.

Shell NA LNG is providing the natural gas needed for liquefaction during the commissioning process and will off-take the LNG that is produced.

Permits & Approvals

Prior to construction, numerous local, state and federal permits and clearances were obtained. The permits address all natural resources (pdf) – land, air, water, vegetation and wildlife, as well as the interests of the general public.
