Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation

Taking care of communities means finding ways to improve the physical, social and economic well-being of the communities we power every day. The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awards grants in 4 focus areas.

Lending a hand and giving back is a defining trait of Dominion Energy employees. To show support, Dominion Energy matches gifts and volunteer hours to eligible non-profit organizations.

Access to education uplifts people and communities. Here are a few ways we invest in educational programs in the communities we serve.

  • Educational Equity Scholarship Program was established to assist students in states where we do business who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
  • Intern Excellence Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding interns or co-ops who demonstrate strong academic achievements. All summer interns may apply.
  • Each year, up to 16 two-year scholarships are awarded to promising candidates in the nuclear engineering program at Three Rivers Community Technical College in Norwich, Connecticut. The scholarships also include paid summer internships at Dominion Energy's Millstone Power Station.
  • Dominion Energy Credit Union Scholarship provides educational funds for members of the credit union who are enrolling as full-time students in an accredited college or university.

Here’s how we’re supporting the communities we serve.

  • Dominion Energy HBCU Promise: a six-year, $25-million commitment directed toward Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
  • Dominion Energy Educational Equity Scholarship program, a $10-million scholarship program focused on supporting students who reside in CT, WV, VA, MD, NC, or SC who plan to continue their education in college or vocational schools.
  • Building Hispanic Talent Initiative is a partnership with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.
  • Promesa: The Hispanic Higher Education Initiative, a three-year, $1-million-plus partnership with seven colleges and universities.

From the front lines to the home front, we’re committed to supporting our military hires through all stages of their careers.
