Rocky Run Solar

Overview

Solar is an important part of Virginia's all-of-the-above energy mix. Looking ahead, Dominion Energy plans to responsibly work with landowners, local governments, and community partners to develop enough renewable energy to power 4 million homes. These projects provide new tax revenues, jobs and economic opportunities for our communities. It’s all about building a brighter future for Virginia, our customers, and the environment.

Our proposed Rocky Run Solar facility will generate up to 300 megawatts of electricity, enough to power 75,000 homes at peak output. The project is located on the southeastern side of Brunswick County, near Harris Crossroads and along its border with Greensville County. If granted the necessary permits, the facility is anticipated to be in service by the end of 2029.
