Project Overview
A Line Rebuild Project in Beaufort County, S.C.
At Dominion Energy, we are dedicated to finding the best solution for the long-term energy needs within the communities we serve. To meet the growing energy needs of our customers and further enhance the reliability and resiliency of our system, we have identified a transmission line in Beaufort County for replacement.
Dominion Energy contractors will replace the existing 115-kilovolt (kV) wooden poles with self-galvanizing steel poles along existing rights of way. The project will cover approximately five miles between the Frogmore and St. Helena substations. The new lines will be designed to meet all modern electric codes as well as provide additional reliability to our customers.
Letters will be sent out to impacted property owners along the route as construction progresses.
