To accommodate continued economic growth in the area, we will need to rebuild the existing transmission lines. This rebuild effort will require new, taller structures and a higher capacity wire – increasing the voltage from 115 kilovolts to 230 kilovolts. Additionally, two new substations, referred to as Cirrus and Keyser, will be required on existing customer property, adjacent to where the current Mountain Run substation is located.
