Financial Assistance for Those in Need

What is EnergyShare®?

EnergyShare® is our year-round energy assistance program and is available to anyone who faces financial hardship, regardless of income. Applications are open October 1 through May 31 and are submitted to local nonprofits who help run the EnergyShare® program. If you are in need, you can apply for up to $600 in assistance

  • No income restrictions,
  • Must demonstrate a crisis,
  • Must be responsible bill payer,
  • Must be a resident

How Does It Work?

EnergyShare® provides assistance to customers in two different ways:

Find your local EnergyShare® nonprofit partner by calling 2-1-1 or visit 211virginia.org.

How to Contribute

Dominion Energy contributes to the EnergyShare ® program, and any remaining funds are raised through our community and nonprofit partners.

If you would like to help others in your community, mail a check for any amount (made payable to "EnergyShare®") to:
